The Colorado Avalanche Hockey Club announced today that forward Paul Stastny will miss approximately two to three weeks after undergoing surgery this afternoon to remove his appendix.
The Avalanche center will also miss the NHL All-Star Game in which he was selected to participate on January 27. His appearance would’ve marked the seventh time that a son has followed his father in NHL All-Star competition.
