“The decision, it’s going to be a hard one,” head coach Ron Wilson said. “It’s going to be whoever we think is going to help us win the most. Maybe both will be here. I don’t know. We’ll see.”
According to Wilson, both players bring a slightly different skill set.
“[Frattin] can block shots, he can finish checks. We’re trying to figure out if he can kill penalties too … he’s got more all-around qualities,” said Wilson. “And [Kadri] probably has a little more high-end, offensive skill in terms of making plays. But I think Frattin’s probably going to be a better goal-scorer than [Kadri] is.”

It’s looking like we could see both Matthew Lombardi and Mike Brown be ready for opening day.
“I’m hoping to get Matt Lombardi in at least one of the games this weekend, maybe Friday, I’ll find that out tomorrow. But if not Friday than Saturday” said Head Coach Ron Wilson after Wednesday’s practice session. “And Brownie’s ready to play as well so get him in there on the weekend as well, just one game.”
Lombardi has been taking more contact through each session. At practice he was given more responsibility playing up the middle, alongside Joey Crabb and Jay Rosehill.
“With practice and with the guys knowing that I can take some hits here, the battling is getting a little better for me, the confidence is growing for sure” says Lombardi. As I move along here, I’m feeling good, and I just want to keep moving forward like this.”
Mike Brown was with Philippe Dupuis and Colton at practice. |
