HAB OR HAB NOT?
The glut of games coming up this week is part of the reason the Leafs rested No. 1 overall pick Auston Matthews in the first three contests, making sure he and other World Cup stars are fully recovered.
A day off Saturday helped that cause and now the long-awaited Matthews debut might be on deck at the ACC where Matthews wowed the crowds for Team North America.
“We’ll see them a lot now,” Babcock said of Matthews and fellow young gun Mitch Marner.
“Auston has played six (World Cup) games already. Marner (now two NHL friendlies). We’ll get them going a fair bit now.”
The Leafs are in Saskatoon on Tuesday to face the Ottawa Senators and play three straight to end the week, against Montreal on Thursday, versus the Red Wings in Hamilton on Friday and in Detroit on Saturday.
Nincsenek még pontos sorok, de Matthews ma 100%, hogy bemutatkozik. |
