SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - A record-setting February for Jiri Tlusty has resulted in the Toronto Marlies forward being named the American Hockey League's player of the month.
Tlusty had 12 goals and 23 points in 11 games last month.
The 20-year-old winger matched a franchise record with four assists in a win over Grand Rapids on Feb. 8 and set a team mark by scoring five goals against Syracuse 10 days later.
Tlusty has 21 goals and 50 points in 49 games with the Marlies this season.
He's also appeared in 14 NHL games with the Maple Leafs, recording four assists.
