* This year is different from other missed years because the Leafs have been on a sustained run for quite some time, instead of a short spurt right at the end of the season.
* Feels as if the Leafs have some good identifiable pieces where they didn't before.
* Thinks Reimer is the real thing. They think he has all of the tools (psychologically) to make him more than a one hit wonder, and are confident that he has what it takes to continue to play like a number one.
* Understands the skepticism towards Reimer though, that's the way the market is.
* Anyone who is eligible, will be sent down to play in the AHL playoffs. Says he places a lot of value in the playoffs down there, and if the Marlies make it, he will send the guys down that can play.
* Brought up how Kessel needs a number one center, which is why his production isn't as good as some think it should be.
* Thinks Lupul can be a legitimate top line LW, his size is an asset.
* He says Bozak is a very good player and valuable to the team, but is in over his head at the number one center spot.
* He thinks that Kessel has rounded out his game by playing harder and competing in a 200 ft game, not just a 60 ft game.
* Thinks the pace of Kadri's game has improved. He talked about how he can't do some of the things in the NHL, that he could in the AHL, and how he has had to adjust this time around.
* Says Kadri was sent down because he wasn't contributing and helping the Leafs when they needed wins.
* Says that kids need to go through what Kadri went through. It makes them realize just what they need to do in order to succeed when they come back up again.
* He said he wants his players to play in the WC if they get the chance, he wants his guys to be playing hockey in April/May/June.
* Hasn't established who will be the number one, and number two goaltenders will be. Reimer is the number one, but the backup isn't set yet.
