On TSN's Sportscentre draft day segment, they were talking about the various deals that went down, and then what some key GMs plan to do tomorrow. They talked about Burke and mentioned that he is likely to stay quiet tomorrow and keep his two first round picks, and they showed a short clip with Burke addressing the media saying there isn't much likely to happen at this point.
Then Katherine Dolan (TSN reporter), mentioned that a top priority of the Leafs is to resign their RFAs before free agency, and that they are having issues with MacArthur. She says that the Leafs do not want to tie up too much money or have a long term deal for "a player who has only had one good season", and also that MacArthur is eligible for arbitration and it is most likely to go down that route now. |
