While Nazem Kadri recently served a three-game team imposed suspension for arriving late to a Leafs meeting and was criticized for a general lack of professionalism, Nylander has taken ownership of his burgeoning career. He said he is more concerned with making the playoffs than making the jump to the NHL. And despite the fact he is oozing with natural talent, the coaching staff cannot say enough things about his “first-rate” approach to the game.
