Leafs GM Brian Burke took in the game, with a number of draft-eligible players playing, like Brampton's highly touted forward Matt Duchene and Windsor defenceman Ryan Ellis, as well as Leafs prospect Mitchell.
Burke said the Leafs plan hasn't changed – they're still attempting to move up from picking seventh at the June draft in Montreal.
"You're not going to get Matt Duchene, who's playing tonight, and you're not going to get John Tavares picking where (the Leafs) are picking. So we're looking to move up and we've been very vocal about that." |
