Azokkal lesz variálás, akik képesek mást is játszani.
“Let's let these two guys go at it, share the responsibility and see how they do,” McPhee said of Neuvirth and Holtby. “The way [Holtby] was playing at the end of last year, he might have been our best guy this year. What's interesting is at the deadline last year, he was guy people were asking about.”
Hát ennyi.
"He’s been on teams with no chance to win for a very long time," Vokoun's agent, Michael Deutsch, said. "The opportunity to compete for a Stanley Cup means a great deal to him."
Közben fogyunk azért, jó helyre került a másik baba arcú.
In other, more minor news Andrew Gordon has signed a one year, two-way deal with the Ducks.
The Washington Capitals have signed goaltender Tomas Vokoun to a one-year contract worth $1.5-million.
Vokoun, 34, played 57 games for the Florida Panthers in 2010-11, posting a record of 22-28-5 with a 2.55 GAA.
In 632 career games with Nashville and Florida, Vokoun has posted a record of 262-267-41, with a career goals against average of 2.56 and an impressive .917 save percentage.
Washington created a vacancy in their crease yesterday, dealing Semyon Varlamov to the Colorado Avalanche.
Veteran right wing Matt Bradley has become the latest former Capital to join part in the rebuilding of the Florida Panthers. - Kénytelen leszek cica meccseket is megnézni néha
“It’s a really good team that has a chance to win the Stanley Cup,” Hamrlik said. “The decision was clearly made. The money was not an issue. I’m not getting any younger. I really like that team. We played against [the Capitals] in the playoffs and always watch [the Capitals] play, and it’s an honor to play for the Washington Capitals. “I think I can bring some experience, and I still can move the puck. I can play probably around, depends, 20 or 22 minutes [a game], good quality minutes I can bring to the team, for sure. . . . It’s been a good run for me. I think age doesn’t really matter. You still keep fighting with the young guys.” - hát annyi pénzért játsszál is öreg.
“They were very high on my list,” Ward said of his new employer. “One of the teams I’ve actually had a chance to visit the city before, and it’s been one of the teams on my list. I like the way they’re made up and with the skill level they have, if I can help on the back end, so to speak, that’s going to be a positive thing. I’m looking forward to it. I always like what the Caps do every season, and I just hope I can kind of come in and help push them over the edge.” - de jó nekünk
The Capitals announced this morning that they’re bringing back Chris Bourque for his third stint with the organization, signing the left wing to a one-year deal.
The 25-year-old son of Hall of Famer Ray Bourque turned down a qualifying offer from Washington last July to play in Europe. He collected 33 points (14 goals, 19 assists) in 39 games with the Swiss-A league’s Lugano and adding one goal in eight games with Mytishchi of the KHL.
Bourque, a 2004 Capitals first-round draft pick (33rd overall), has played on three Calder Cup winning Hershey Bears teams (2006, 2009, 2010), and has collected one goal and three assists in 33 NHL games with Washington and Pittsburgh.
