CALGARY, AB -- The Calgary Flames announced today that they have recalled goaltender Joni Ortio from their AHL affiliate, the Stockton Heat. The Flames also announced that they have placed goaltender Karri Ramo on injured reserve.
(The injury, sustained at the 57:00 mark of Thursday's game against the San Jose Sharks, was the result of a collision in Ramo's crease. Mark Giordano hauled down Joonas Donskoi as he steamed towards the net and the Sharks forward crashed into Ramo, jamming him against the post.)

CALGARY, AB -- The Calgary Flames will host a press conference on Monday, January 11th, 2016 to welcome Robyn Regehr back to the Calgary community and officially retire him from the NHL as a member of the Calgary Flames.
Regehr announces his retirement as the Flames’ second ranked all-time leader in games played (826). His other Flames achievements include representing Calgary at the 2002 NHL All-Star Weekend (Young Stars); the 2000 Ralph Scurfield Award for the qualities of perseverance, determination and leadership on the ice combined with dedication to community service; and recipient of the inaugural J. R. "Bud" McCaig Award in 2006 in honour of his contributions to society.
In 2000, Regehr was the Flames nominee for the Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy, which recognizes perseverance, sportsmanship and dedication to hockey. At the age of 19, he was the youngest nominee in NHL history. In 2004, he helped lead the Flames to the Stanley Finals against the Tampa Bay Lightning, playing in all 26 playoff games.
Flames’ alternate team captain for 7 seasons (2003-04 to 2010-11) Regehr also represented Calgary while wearing Canada’s jersey at two World Championships (2000 and 2005), the World Cup of Hockey (2004) and the Olympic Winter Games (2006).
Regehr departed the Flames in 2010 and played four more seasons in the NHL with Buffalo and Los Angeles, finishing his career after playing 1090 career NHL games and capturing a Stanley Cup championship with the Kings in 2014.
