Announced average attendance — the number of tickets sold and distributed, not necessarily people in the St. Pete Times Forum — is 17,216, up from last season's 15,497.
More meaningful, though, is the increase in actual average attendance at the 19,758-seat arena; that is, the turnstile count, which Hillsborough County reports was an average 13,443 in 31 games through February, the latest data available. At the same time last season, the average was 11,081.
That is an increase of 2,362 (21.3 percent) and does not count announced March sellouts of 20,274 with the Canadiens and 19,912 with the Blackhawks.

The Lightning sold only about 8,000 season tickets this season, so Leiweke's glee at 900 new subscribers is understandable.
Still, he can only dream about the years after the 2003-04 Stanley Cup season, when Tampa Bay was second and third, respectively, in the league in average announced attendance — 20,509 in 2005-06, 19,876 in 2006-07 — and the joint always was rockin'.

REST: LW Simon Gagne joined the team from Montreal, where he had a followup procedure for a nerve injury in his neck that kept him out of 18 games in October and November.
Coach Guy Boucher said he expected Gagne for Friday's game with the Hurricanes, or perhaps earlier, Tuesday against the Islanders.
"We could have done it later," Boucher said of the procedure, "but that would be close to the playoffs, and we wanted to give ourselves a little bit of time. We want to win every game, but we want our guys healthy, even if we have to sit some guys down in the short term."
HEALING: W Ryan Malone, in another step in his recovery from a mid-body injury that has kept him out of 17 games, skated in line rushes at the morning skate, though he wore a red jersey. Malone is expected back in the lineup around the beginning of April, Boucher said.

szerintem az eddigi 6 ciklust tekintve, minden körülményt figyelembe véve a két legkönnyebb az a Fidesz 1 és a rögtön utánuk következő Útelágazódásos volt. szerintem.

ebben részben egyet is rétek, bár azt gondolom, hogy az olyan, az alapvető emberi értékrendbe tartozó fogalmak, mint tisztesség, becsület vagy épp etika nem gazdasági állapottól, földrajzi elhelyezkedéstől vagy épp kultúrától függenek. persze lehet, hogy tévedek és van olyan kultúra, melyben ezek értéknek számítanak, de ezt azért megkérdőjelezném.
mint ahogy az országon belül is a világéhoz hasonlóan óriási a szórás az emberek anyagi helyzete, műveltsége stb szerint. s ez még sem jelenti a felsorolt értékek meglétét vagy épp hiányát.

"It's frustrating because we only gave them 12 shots in the first two periods. We had double the shots and we had total control of the game," Boucher said. "The only thing I said on that power play was we can't get caught and that's exactly what happened. It's very frustrating when you keep one defenceman up there and you get caught.
"You want to blame yourself as a coach but when we tell the players that what we want to watch out for is them taking off and our guy's not even aware of it ... when you make a play like that you don't deserve to win."

én arra emlékszem még, mikor stabil net előtt még az nhl eredményeket cnn-en meg eurosporton nézegettem. vagy ha vendégeknél voltam, ahol nem votl más lehetőség. aztán bosszantott, hogy ők is mindig legalább fél nappal le voltak maradva
aztán emlékszem, mikor a cnn évekkel ezelőtt beszűntette a text-szolgáltatást. annyit írtak ki, hogy mostantól tessék a cnn pont comot nézegetni. nektek is ezt kéne tennetek szerintem

én évekig olvastam teletextet, sőt egy időben szerkesztettem is
de ma már a net mellett rá se nézek. a textek úgy általában le vannak maradva, nehezen kezelhetőek. az egész már tök elavult. s mióta már anyámék is felfedezték az internetet, a család utolsó végvárában is megszűnt a használata.

On Friday morning, Lecavalier commented further on Subban:
"Everybody knows he was playing a role there. Myself and probably most of the guys don't respect a guy like that. He's the type of guy who doesn't respect anybody. It's all there is to say. He's not a well-liked guy, not because of the way he plays but because of the way he does things. He's a great player. He will be for a long time. But his attitude, that's just the way he is."

Tampa Bay Lightning captain Vinny Lecavalier apparently will face no supplemental discipline for his slashing incident Thursday with Montreal Canadiens defenseman P.K. Subban.
Lecavalier received a five-minute major penalty and a game misconduct with 8.5 seconds left in the first period of what turned out to be a 3-2 shootout loss for the Lightning.
In case you missed it, the two traded shoves, slashes and cross-checks for about 30 seconds before Lecavalier, after a slash across his wrist, turned and put a two-hander on Subban, who went to the ice hard, stayed down and then skated to the bench holding his left arm. The problem with that is Lecavalier's slash hit Subban in the left thigh. Either way, Lecavalier was out of the game.
Lots of problems with the way this was handled.
First of all, where the heck was the referees. The players are going at it for about 30 seconds right in front of them. Plenty of opportunities to send either or both off the ice with minor penalties and short-circuit what might have escalated into a dangerous confrontation. Instead, the confrontation gets violent and the game, and the Lightning, loses one of its marquee players because Subban, who came back for the second period and played enthusiastically for the rest of the game, put on an acting class.
Asked if he believed Subban milked it for the refs, Lecavalier said easily, "Oh, of course."
No excuse for Vinny to lose his cool like that, and Tampa Bay could have used him in what was a close, entertaining game. But his retaliation was not as bad as it might have been, and it was he who ended up with slash marks on his left wrist from Subban's stick work.

ismerem a sérültjeitek listáját. hidd el, amikor ősszel 13 sérültünk volt, az első 3 sorból két emberünk volt csak a jégen, akkor senki se sajnált minket. sem a horror schedule miatt
amúgy meg nem hiszem, hogy azért csapott volna oda Lecav, mert egy rookie baszogatta. ajánlom figyelmedbe a nyilatkozatát
a TSNes összefoglalóból jól látszik az egész. még1szer mondom, percig sem vitatom Lecav büntetésének jogosságát. és a szabálykönyvet elolvasva, a major miatt a game misconduct is járt. a problémám csak az, amit már mondtam: 1. miért nem szorták ki őket előbb? 2. primadonna miért nem kapta ugyanazt szándékos bottal kézre ütésért?
amúgy meg hasonló gatyám van és de, ott pont jól ki van tömve. ha valaki azt ott mégis átüti, akkor viszont utána lábra sem állsz, az garantált. de a legjobb az volt, hogy a srác a kispadon már a kezét fájlalta, amihez meg hozzá sem értek. na mindegy, ti kutyátok kölke, nektek illik védeni.

I think we now need to refer to Vinny as "Magic Slash". He's the only guy who's ever hurt an opposing player's arm by slashing him in the thigh. I mean hell, if he can do that, he could probably shoot the puck at the goalies glove and have it go 5-hole. |
