'Vasy' plan: With rookie G Andrei Vasilevskiy reassigned to AHL Syracuse on Thursday — and named AHL goalie of the month Friday — Cooper reiterated there are no plans for the touted prospect to return for another spot start. "We've got to get (Nabokov) back in there," Cooper said. "We need to have (Nabokov) sharp. 'Nabby' was an unreal pro, understood that he was giving up a start for Vasilevskiy (against Buffalo) and understood it was best for the organization big-picture-wise. Next time (Bishop) needs a rest, it'll be Nabby going in and nobody else."
SPLITTING SWEDES: While Garrison was out, Victor Hedman and Anton Stralman were split up. And even with Garrison back, Cooper plans to keep his two best defensemen in different pairings: "Prior to (Hedman's) injury, (he and Stralman) had a great run together. You break them up a bit here as of late and it's kind of balanced out our D-core. Believe me, they'll be back together periodically during games, but they kind of stabilized our D-core with them being apart. It's been working for us, so not going to change."

Cooper on referee Mike Leggo getting sick on ice and leaving: "Felt awful for him. But we all felt like that after the first period."

Coach Cooper said Garrison back in. Gudas out. Gudas (lower body) said he hopes to play Sunday in Ottawa. He's day to day. Nesterov will stay for a little while. Bishop in net.

Palat did not skate, took maintenance day, still bothered by lower body injury that kept him out for a few games. So it's Johnson, Kucherov and Brown.

Cooper said Palat and Drouin are both game time decisions. Drouin said he's feeling much better. Doesn't know if he's in tonight. Had flu like symptoms, no appetite. Of course, happy it wasn't mumps

Drouin is "getting better" according to coach Cooper. He rode the bike today. Cooper said if he's not in for the Leafs, he'll be back for Buffalo.

Jonathan Drouin went home this morning not feeling the greatest. No indication as of now that Drouin "illness" is mumps related, team will check back later today on his status #TBLightning. Drouin is home sick, Cooper says

a legszebb az egeszben, hogy most meg Bishop serult le ismet. Palat hianyat se nagyon sikerult eddig megoldanunk, Gudas is beteg. azert a fasz kivan. az egesz oktobert serulten nyomtuk vegig, a november is hasonloan indult, erre most megint kezdodik...
Per Jon Cooper, Bishop was injured late in the first and told him between periods that he couldn't go back in. Coop is unsure how long Bishop will be out with a lower body injury but he indicated that a call-up is likely for tomorrow's game in Philly.
