Szerintem esetukben csak azok mehetnek az AHL-be, akik nem tudnak visszamenni Juniorba. A WHL pl nem indult el es utolso infom szerint nem is tudni meg, hogy mikor fog. Igy azok a jatekosok felkerulhetnek az AHL-be.

We currently have the #Lightning at $16,516,666 over the cap. In order to maximize their LTIR relief, they need to get as close to $16,975,000 as possible. Waiving Schenn (-$800,000) and Johnson (-$1,075,000) today helps them get there.
Here's how:
$16,516,666 - ($800,000 + $1,075,000) = $14,641,666
$14,641,666 + Foote + 2 league min = $16,966,666
That would use all but $8,334 of their space AND it gets Cal Foote on the roster who has $500,000 in PB's which would give them flexibility with their LTI PB Pool.

Ez pusztan cap flexibility move. Mi is ezt csinaljuk most szinte a teljes taxi squaddal + Johnson es Schenn is at kell essenek rajta.
In previous years, teams could set a roster to set the season as close to the cap as possible maintain maximum flexibility for LTI and then make changes the next day. Now teams must wait 48 hours to make changes to the initial roster.
It's only about creating maximum flexibility, this is a much different situation than the offseason. The odds of them being claimed on minimal, the NHL/NHLPA changed a rule at the last minute that made this necessary.

BriseBois said Kucherov’s torn labrum in his hip was not tied to the groin injury the Hart Trophy-winning winger endured throughout the playoffs. BriseBois explained Kucherov did not have any hip issues at that time. The first time Kucherov reported the injury to the Lightning was Dec. 3, BriseBois said. The club had a consult over the all-star winger’s status before he began a rehabilitation program to see if that would work.
“We were fairly optimistic that would be – especially with the time he had to get ready for the start of the season – that he should be able to rehab and not need any further treatment beyond that,” BriseBois said. “Unfortunately, the treatment protocol doesn’t work. It included getting a cortisone injection and as things were not progressively positively in this case and Nikita continued to fight through the discomfort and the pain he was skating, we got another consult this week. … Everyone felt the best thing to do was to have the surgery done now. It was a similar surgery Brayden Point had not that long ago and Yanni Gourde before that, and we expect Kuch to make a full recovery like those two players did.”

The NHL told The Athletic that they have reached an agreement with the Canadian government to allow teams to play in their own facilities for the 2020-21 season.
"On the basis of our discussions in the past week, as well as our exchange of correspondence over the last 24 hours, we believe we are aligned and in agreement on the conditions on which each of our Canadian franchises can begin play in their own buildings for the start of the 2020-21 NHL season," Deputy Commissioner Bill Daly told The Athletic's Pierre LeBrun.
